Acnelofix Capsules contain Isotretinoin 20mg and are used in the treatment of severe nodular acne. The recommended dose is 0.5 to 1.0 mg/kg/day, given in 2 divided doses with food, for 15–20 weeks. Treatment is contraindicated in pregnancy, and effective contraception must be used from 1 month before treatment until 1–3 months after stopping the drug. Regular monitoring of CBC, lipid profile and liver function enzymes is required, and sunscreen should be used when exposed to light.
